Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA) is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide hospice care at patients' homes in Dallas County. You will administer nursing care, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and support patients and families through life’s transitions.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, CPR, and at least one year of clinical RN experience (hospice preferred). A valid Texas driver’s license and ability to travel locally are essential for this position.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate).
Current Texas RN license.
Proof of CPR.
One year of RN experience in a clinical care setting; hospice experience preferred.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Must be able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

Assess hospice patients to identify physical, psycho-social, and environmental needs with documentation and evaluations.
Implement and document the plan of care to ensure quality and continuity of care.
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team, patient, family, and referring agency.
Provide clinical directions to Hospice Aide/LVN to ensure quality and continuity of service.
Ensure continuity of quality patient care delivered with documentation.
Assist in training of new nurses and aides as needed.
Promote agency philosophy and administrative policies.
Perform admissions of new patients as needed and manage scheduling with prioritization.
