Job summary

Presbyterian Homes & Services (Optage Hospice) is seeking a Part-Time Massage Therapist to visit clients in homes, skilled nursing, or assisted living settings across the metro area. Expect 16–20 hours weekly with daytime hours and no weekends.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, documentation, and collaboration with the clinical team in a Christian environment. Certification in Massage Therapy and ongoing licensure are required; hospice experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Massage Therapy is required.
• Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program with current license or certification.
• At least 1 year of massage therapy experience; hospice experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct massage therapy per clinical plan and assess patient for indications.
• Relieve symptoms and provide relaxation using techniques like Swedish massage and energy work.
• Observe and report patient responses; educate and support families.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and inter-disciplinary education.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate with the clinical team.

Education

Certificate in Massage Therapy

Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program

Current license or certification

Good oral and written communication skills

Able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team

Willing to cross geographic areas as needed
