Job summary

Astrocare Home Healthcare is seeking a full-time Home Health Caregiver in Houston to provide in-home care for the disabled and elderly. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor safety, prepare meals, and support medication adherence, all while documenting client conditions for the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include light housekeeping, dressing changes as needed, and promoting social engagement to maintain emotional well-being.

Position Overview:

As a Caregiver, you'll provide essential support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being through personalized care and assistance with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene


• Maintain client safety through regular wellness checks and environmental monitoring


• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure proper hydration


• Assist with medication reminders and compliance


• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe living environment


• Change dressings and assist with basic medical care as directed


• Engage clients in social and recreational activities to support mental well-being


• Document and report changes in client condition to healthcare team


• Adapt care approaches to various living conditions and client needs

Preferred Qualifications:

Employment Details:

• Position Type: Full-time position available


• Compensation: Starting at $12.25 per hour


• Hours: Flexible schedules, 44 hours per week


• Shifts: 4, 6, or 8 hour shifts available


• Reliable Transportation


• Schedule: Monday - Friday; 2 pm - 9 pm Saturday; 9 hours
