Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Occupational Therapy (OT) program
• Completion of foundational coursework in anatomy, physiology, and human development
• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with older adult populations
• Basic understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic interventions
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to meet health, immunization, and background check requirements

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist with patient evaluations under supervision
• Help clients practice activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Recommend adaptive equipment or home modifications to improve safety
• Participate in home safety assessments and caregiver education
• Document patient progress and participate in interdisciplinary care meetings
• Learn how home health scheduling and Medicare-related documentation work
