Job summary

Centre County Youth Service Bureau seeks a full-time Family Counselor to join our Reunification team. The role provides in-home, family-focused services to support permanency and safe home return for children in out-of-home care. You will work with families through case management and counseling, coordinate visits, and document progress. A Bachelor’s degree and related experience are required, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field and two years of related experience.
• Driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Working knowledge of case management and crisis intervention techniques; strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive in-home services to support reunification goals.
• Increase child safety through in-home observation and community interventions.
• Manage all aspects of assigned cases, including transportation and support.
• Testify in court for assigned cases.
