Job summary

Forever Memories Pet Care seeks a veterinarian to perform in-home euthanasia with emphasis on patient dignity and family communication. The role offers flexibility with part-time or full-time schedules and potential to expand into hospice/palliative care services.

The position includes mentorship from an experienced DVM, a fixed base salary, and planned growth in the geriatric pet space. This is not corporate-owned and offers strong opportunities for professional fulfillment.

Qualifications

• DVM, DEA license and valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 50 lb unassisted and 100 lb assisted.
• Weekend availability.
• Reliable cell phone with access to Gmail and Google Calendar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain transparency with families about the euthanasia process.
• Explore hospice and palliative care appointments as opportunities.

Job description

In-home euthanasia work is known for being fulfilling work with longer, slower, and more in depth appointments allowing for deeper connections with families and their beloved pets. With a maximum of 5 (average of 3) appointments a day, built in time to decompress between appointments, and genuine support from owner and support staff, end of life care is extremely rewarding.

Appointments focus on maintaining pet's dignity, fear free handling techniques, and transparency with families about the euthanasia process. This results in work that is deeply appreciated and personally gratifying.

On boarding and training provided. Currently Forever Memories only provides in-home euthanasia appointments, but if you have an interest in hospice and palliative care these types of appointments can also be scheduled!

Adaptable schedule with part time or full time opportunities available. 4 day work week possible.
