A veterinary care organization is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home care focused on hospice, palliative care, and humane euthanasia for terminally ill pets. This role allows for professional autonomy and flexibility in scheduling while supporting pet families during emotionally significant moments. The ideal candidate must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and have strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a field-based environment.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home euthanasia services for pets.
• Deliver hospice and palliative care to improve quality of life.
• Guide families through end-of-life decisions with empathy.
• Support pet families throughout the euthanasia process with patience, compassion, and emotional sensitivity.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Collaborate with veterinary leadership, support staff, and operational teams.
• Participate in ongoing training, continuing education, and clinical development programs.

The Associate Veterinarian provides compassionate in-home veterinary care focused on hospice, palliative care, and humane euthanasia for geriatric and terminally ill pets. This role allows veterinarians to practice meaningful medicine in a calm, supportive environment where the focus is on patient comfort, family guidance, and dignified end-of-life care.

Working primarily in the field, the veterinarian operates independently while collaborating with a supportive medical leadership team and operational staff. Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home euthanasia services for geriatric and terminally ill pets

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS) from an accredited veterinary school
• Active veterinary license in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
• Valid U.S. driver’s license
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Successful completion of background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review prior to start date
