Job summary

Dubies Love Residential Services LLC in Norfolk, VA is seeking an In-Home Direct Support Professional to provide personalized care in clients' homes. You will support individuals with disabilities with daily living activities and assist with community integration.

Responsibilities include implementing care plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with families and care teams. A valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, person-centered care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in their home environment
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation
• Support clients in community integration, social activities, and skill-building exercises
• Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members regarding client needs and progress
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for clients

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred
• Genuine compassion, patience, and dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities
• Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
