Job summary

Petit’s HALO is seeking Direct Service Professionals to support a young individual with high support needs in a Stafford, Virginia residential setting. The role involves personal care, mobility assistance, and transportation to activities.

Candidates should have experience with developmental disabilities, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Drug screening and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs for mobility support.
• All applicants must complete a drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (hygiene, toileting, grooming).
• Maintain a clean, organized living environment.
• Facilitate daily movement and active engagement.
• Encourage residents to develop independent care skills.
• Provide transportation to activities and support community outings.
