Job summary

Mentor South Bay, part of Sevita, is seeking a Developmental Therapist to deliver in-home early intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or autism spectrum disorders in Connecticut. You will plan, assess, and adapt activities to support language, cognitive, motor, sensory, self-help and social-emotional development while coaching families.

The role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, documentation of progress, and meeting timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood or Special Education as required.
• Experience with children under 5 preferred.
• Valid CT teaching certificate or eligibility for endorsement in CT is required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and provide weekly in-home early educational services for infants/toddlers with disabilities.
• Administer and document program assessments to meet timelines.
• Design and adapt activities for language, cognitive, motor, sensory, self-help and social-emotional development.
• Model positive adult-child interactions and provide coaching to parents.
• Monitor and share child progress with family and team.
