Job summary

OneWell Health Care seeks a compassionate Companion to provide non-medical in-home support for individuals with IDD in Pickens, SC. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, independence, and social engagement, under RN/LPN supervision or leadership.

This is a field-based, non-clinical position with flexible scheduling. The Companion assists with daily activities, maintains routines, and ensures adherence to care plans while documenting activities and observations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience as a caregiver, home health aide, DSP, or similar support role preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily routines and light household tasks.
• Encourage social engagement and participation in community activities.
• Follow individualized care plans and supervisor instructions.
• Document activities, timekeeping, and incidents.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment and report changes in condition.
