Job summary

Family Pride Private Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable companions and homemakers to provide non-medical support in clients' homes, helping them stay safe, independent, and engaged. Training and certification are provided, and no prior caregiving experience is required.

You will perform tasks such as companionship, meals, errands, light housekeeping, and medication reminders while following each client's care plan and staying connected with the Family Pride team.

Qualifications

• No previous caregiving experience required
• No CNA certification required
• Family Pride provides required training and certification
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful
• Enjoys working with seniors and helping others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and an individual client's care plan
• Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts
• Ability to maintain client privacy and confidentiality
• Driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly companionship and conversation
• Spend quality time with clients and help reduce loneliness and isolation
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks
• Grocery shopping and running errands
• Light housekeeping including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping
• Clean kitchens and bathrooms
• Wash dishes and load/unload the dishwasher
• Laundry, folding clothes, and changing bed linens
• Organize household items and help maintain a clean, comfortable home
• Provide medication reminders
• Accompany clients on walks, errands, appointments, and social outings
• Encourage hobbies, games, conversation, and other activities
• Provide general supervision and companionship for memory loss or dementia
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition to Family Pride team
• Follow each client's care plan and Family Pride policies and procedures
