Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful companionship and conversation
• Limit excessive napping and cell phone use
• Read together and discuss current events
• Work on puzzles, games, word searches, coloring, crafts, or brain-teaser activities
• Assist with using technology
• Encourage daily movement - chair exercises, stretching, balance exercises, and walking
• Encourage time outdoors for fresh air
• Practice mindfulness, breathing exercises, journaling and relaxation techniques together
• Support regular CPAP cleaning and maintenance
• Help with hearing aid – putting it in, cleaning
• Verify pill organizer accuracy
• Encourage proper hydration and healthy eating
• Help create meal plans and shopping lists
• Gather ingredients and supplies needed for meals
• Review calendar together and help schedule appointments (hair, dog grooming, etc.)
• Help identify and register for senior center (or other) classes, events, and activities
• Help maintain a simple "to do" list for the week
