Job summary

Community Horizons L.L.C. is seeking a caregiver to provide 1:1 supervision and support for children with special needs in a Wisconsin home setting. The role includes transportation to and from outings, in-home activities, emotional support, and de-escalation techniques.

This part-time position offers weekend care and a wage of $17.98 per hour. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required, with mileage provided when the child is in the vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for adults or children with complex needs is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
• Comfort with providing transportation and in-home support.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 supervision to a child with special needs.
• Mentor personal care tasks and accompany to outings.
• Provide emotional support during activities and outings.
• Engage in in-home & community activities and use de-escalation tactics as needed.

Required Daily Tasks:

• Providing 1:1 supervision
• Mentor personal care tasks
• Provide Transportation to and from outings
• Provide emotional support
• Engage in in-home activities and community activities
• Provide de-escalation tactics

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• High schoolers are welcome to apply
• Able to pass a Wisconsin background check
• Experience working with adults or children with complex needs ( Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Autism, ADHD, ODD, Etc. )
• Proven dependability
• Willingness to learn and accept coaching
