Nurse Next Door San Mateo is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to provide nonmedical support to seniors in their homes. Opportunities offer flexible hours (10–40 hours/week), paid training, and a focus on making lives better through happier aging.

Applicants must be at least 18, registered in CA Home Care Aide Registry, and able to pass background checks. Training is provided, and drivers with reliable transport are preferred. No experience required.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Registered with the State of California Home Care Aide Registry.
• Able to pass criminal background checks.
• Completion of or plan to complete paid training per CA regulations.
• Evidence of tuberculosis testing and no active TB.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Empathy for ill and elderly clients.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance or reliable transportation.

Aufgaben

• Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living within the scope of practice for a Health Care Aide.
• Assist with personal hygiene, bathing and dressing.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation.
• Support prescribed exercises and mobility.
• Meal planning and therapeutic diets; assist with eating.
• Assist with bathroom needs and incontinence care.
• Perform household tasks and companionship.
• Remind about medications as self-administered.
• Report changes to the administrator or care designer.
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked.
• Travel to appointments and errands as needed.
• Participate in required training and keep Home Care Aide registration active.
• Other duties as assigned.
