Job summary

Open Arms Solutions is seeking dependable in-home caregivers to support seniors in Downtown Chicago and nearby neighborhoods. You will provide one-on-one, non-medical care to help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

You will perform daily tasks, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to a supportive caregiving team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience within the past 2 years.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between client locations.
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
• Smartphone for communication and care-related documentation.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities.
• Prepare meals and promote hydration.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry; keep a tidy home.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands.
• Observe changes in client condition and report updates.
• Complete basic daily care documentation.

Our caregivers provide personalized, non-medical support that allows older adults to remain comfortable, safe, and independent in their own homes. Your Role

You’ll provide one-on-one care based on each client’s individual needs and routines. Duties may include:

• Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Providing companionship and engaging clients in conversation and activities

• Providing medication reminders
• Assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a tidy home
• Accompanying clients to appointments, errands, and activities

• Completing basic daily care documentation

Because you’ll be traveling to clients’ homes, reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the city are strongly preferred.
