Job summary

Open Arms Solutions is hiring dependable and compassionate In-Home Caregivers to support seniors throughout Downtown Chicago and nearby neighborhoods. You will provide one-on-one care, assist with daily activities, and help clients stay safe and independent in their homes.

The role involves hands-on caregiving, companionship, meal prep, and support with appointments, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow caregiving skills. Must be able to travel across multiple Chicago neighborhoods.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience within the past 2 years.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between client locations.
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
• Smartphone for communication and care-related documentation.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care based on each client’s needs and routines.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities.
• Prepare meals and encourage hydration.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a tidy home.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and activities.
• Observe changes in client condition and report updates.
• Complete basic daily care documentation.

Your Role

You’ll provide one-on-one care based on each client’s individual needs and routines.

Duties may include:

• Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Providing companionship and engaging clients in conversation and activities

• Providing medication reminders
• Assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a tidy home
• Accompanying clients to appointments, errands, and activities

Because you’ll be traveling to clients’ homes, reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the city are strongly preferred.
