Job summary

Good Samaritan is hiring for a Home Caregiver to provide in-home support to seniors in Sioux Falls, SD. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and medication administration in a compassionate Christian environment.

Responsibilities include following a prescribed care plan, ensuring safety and cleanliness of the client’s home, offering companionship, and transporting to appointments when needed. PRN daytime shifts with variable weekly hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle.
• Drug screen and pre-employment background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-home care to assist with daily living activities.
• Assists with personal care, grooming, and basic healthcare tasks.
• Administers medications as prescribed and follows healthcare plans.
• Plans and follows a daily care schedule with clients and reports changes.
• Ensures the client’s home is safe and organized; may perform light housekeeping.
• Provides emotional support and mobility assistance; may transport to appointments.
