Job summary

Midstate Independent Living Choices in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a caregiver to assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, mobility, and daily living activities in clients' homes and community settings.

The role requires strong communication, ability to follow care plans, maintain confidentiality, and report changes promptly; training provided.

A valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience preferred.
• Familiar with independent living philosophy.
• Ability to understand and carry out consumer instructions.
• Ability to relate well to others.
• Good past employment references required.
• Physical strength to perform essential functions.
• Reliable transportation to the work site, valid license if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility, toileting and transfers.
• Change consumer beds; launder bed linens and clothing.
• Provide medically oriented tasks as assigned (medication assistance, etc).
• Care for eyeglasses and hearing aids; light housekeeping in essential areas.
• Meal preparation and meal serving; provide companionship and activities.
• Report changes promptly to supervisor; complete Records of Care accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all policies and procedures.
