Job summary

TUREHELP CARE INC in Tennessee seeks an approachable Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home support to clients, under qualified supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, maintaining client comfort and safety, and documenting care provided.

The role requires listening, reliability, and the ability to follow service plans. Applicants must meet state requirements, complete required training, pass background checks, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of training for personal care services.
• Pass criminal background check and TN state registry checks.
• Ability to read, understand instructions, prepare/write reports, and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
• Report in writing to the Supervisor on each client assignment.
• Promptly report changes observed in the client’s condition.
• Confer with the Supervisor regarding client progress.
• Provide Personal Support services including bathing, grooming, dressing; bed care and laundering; skin care; glasses/hearing aids; toileting; light home cleaning; meal prep and transport to appointments; other services per plan.
• Follow infection control, maintain client confidentiality, and perform only tasks on the service plan.
• Follow emergency procedures and client rights; record activities daily; report incidents promptly.
• Submit Daily Activity Sheets; stay punctual and attend in-service training; maintain communication with client, family, supervisor, and team.
