Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking compassionate In Home Housekeepers or Caregivers to support seniors in the Macoupin County area and surrounding counties. The role offers flexible hours, full-time/part-time/PRN, with pay rates from $16-$20 per hour, weekly pay, and a $400 sign-on bonus.

Caregivers provide light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility assistance, transportation and companionship, with training opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate care.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping, cooking, and dietary needs.
• Adherence to health and safety standards.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Strong ethics and respectful demeanor.
• Physical endurance and reliability.
• Owner of a vehicle with current insurance and access to a Social Security Card.

Responsabilités

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
