Job summary

Visiting Angels Springfield is hiring a Housekeeper and Companion Caregiver to support seniors with daily living tasks. The role offers a $400 signing bonus, pay range $16–$20 per hour, and weekly pay. Flexible hours include full-time, part-time, PRN, days, nights, and weekends, with mileage reimbursement and travel time paid.

The position emphasizes compassionate care, safety training, and personal growth, including dementia/alzheimer’s care options and ongoing mentorship.

• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medications.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
