Job summary

Visiting Angels Edmond is seeking an In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper to support seniors and adults in the Edmond area, including Blackwell, Tonkawa, Perry, Stillwater, and nearby communities. This role focuses on compassionate in-home care, companionship, and light housekeeping, with opportunities for professional growth through advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.

You will assist with medication reminders, mobility support, personal care, meal prep, shopping, and safe

Qualifications

• Strong caregiver commitment and compassion.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Experience with housekeeping tasks and light cooking.
• Ability to follow dietary constraints.
• Respectful, patient, and reliable.
• Good time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
