Job summary

Cornerstone Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support including companionship, homemaking, and personal care for individuals such as seniors and those with disabilities. You’ll follow a care plan, assist with daily activities, prepare meals, and help maintain a safe, nurturing home environment.

Ideal candidates are reliable, communicative, and able to manage tasks efficiently while driving clients to appointments and coordinating with families.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for caring for those in need.
• Caregiving experience is preferred, but not required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Have compassion for our clients, including seniors and/or those with disabilities.
• Must be a good communicator.
• Must be able to follow and complete a list of tasks within a given time period.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Must be self-motivated and have a professional, pleasant, positive, and helpful disposition.
• Hold a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Have a smart phone and email account.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Willing to take a TB test.

Responsibilities

• Providing caring and dependable companionship
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Preparing meals and snacks
• Assisting with activities of daily living and personal hygiene (like dressing, eating, bathing and toileting)
• Transportation to and from client’s appointments and activities
• Carrying out a Care Plan and tasks specific to your client
• Creating compassionate and supportive solutions to your client’s unique needs by collaborating with your Home Helpers team and client’s family
