Job summary

Senior Helpers of New Haven Coast is seeking reliable and compassionate caregivers to help older adults live safely and independently in their own homes. We are interested in meeting people who bring patience, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve others.

Serving East Haven and surrounding New Haven County communities. We offer competitive pay ranging from $18 to $21 per hour, based on experience and schedule, along with flexible scheduling, paid training, and a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and respectful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Offering companionship and social engagement.
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Helping with walking, mobility, positioning, and safe transfers.
• Preparing meals and providing assistance with eating.
• Providing medication reminders.
• Completing light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes.
• Assisting with errands and authorized transportation.
• Providing compassionate support to clients with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
• Monitoring for changes in a client’s condition, behavior, or needs.
• Reporting concerns promptly to the appropriate office team member.
• Documenting services accurately and on time.
• Following all care plan instructions, safety practices, and company procedures.
