Job summary

Homewatch CareGivers of Boulder is seeking an attentive caregiver to support clients in daily activities and health monitoring. You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility transfers, while providing emotional support and companionship.

The role requires empathy, reliable communication, and adherence to health and safety standards. Strong time management and a calm, patient approach are essential for success in a home-care setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year caregiving experience.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR).
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Knowledge of personal care needs to include bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, hygiene.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate, with good time management and strong work ethic.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance and ability to assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene.
• Prepare meals, cook, and assist with grocery shopping.
• Oversee health care: medications, doctor appointments, reminders, and exercise.
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and wheelchair access.
• Offer constant companionship and supervision.
• Drive to appointments, run errands, and assist with vehicle transfers.
• Provide emotional support and stable companionship.
• Care for elderly individuals including dementia-related needs and reporting to family.
• Provide back-up or respite care for other caregivers.
• Help with home organization, packing, cleaning for trips, light housekeeping, and laundry.
• Monitor health per care plan and report any changes.
