Job summary

Senior Helpers of Kanawha Valley is hiring caregivers to provide one-on-one personal care in clients' homes across Kanawha Valley, helping clients stay safe and independent. This role fits your area of expertise to the seniors you’ll care for, with flexible scheduling to match your life.

No experience is required, as we provide paid orientation and ongoing training. You will engage with clients, assist with daily activities, and report on wellbeing, with compensation at $15–$16 per hour

Qualifications

• No experience required — we provide paid orientation and ongoing training.
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass a full employment background check
• You are passionate about helping others
• You enjoy customer service and communicating with clients
• You want to help your community and make a difference in someone’s life

Responsibilities

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrap booking, gardening, games, etc.)
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
