Job summary

Personal Care Services Midsouth is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to support clients in their own homes. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and companionship while maintaining privacy and dignity.

Comprehensive training is provided, with emphasis on safety, HIPAA compliance, and respectful, individualized care. A valid driver’s license and mobile device for documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for roles requiring travel).
• Able to pass a Criminal background check.
• Fingerprinted with MSDH.
• CPR certified.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a home healthcare caregiver or in a similar role – Preferred.
• Internet accessible mobile phone for documenting service delivery and tasks provided.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Meal preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Mobility assistance: Help clients move safely within their homes or between locations, including transferring from beds, wheelchairs, or vehicles.
• Household tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
• Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities, such as conversation, hobbies, or light exercise.
• Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health to family members or supervisors promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and daily activities
