Job summary

Preferred Care at Home is seeking caring, dependable In-Home Caregivers to join our Waitsfield team. Immediate part-time or full-time shifts are available, with weekly pay at $28/hr and supportive local staff. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, light housekeeping, meals, companionship, and transportation.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality.
• Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred (for certain clients).
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including the use of assistive devices if needed.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up living spaces.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Offer companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients.
• Monitor and report changes in the client's health, behavior, or needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide medication reminders and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
