Job summary

Safe Harbor Home Care is seeking caregivers to support clients in San Diego, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Ramona, Poway and surrounding North County areas with non-medical home care. Duties include personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship.

Eligible applicants must be 18+, have I-9 documents, TB certificate, CA registration and HCA number, and complete required trainings. Weekly pay with flexible hours and career growth opportunities are highlighted in the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years or older.
• Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents.
• Clearance verified on Home Care Aide Registry, if applicable.
• Current TB certificate.
• Registered with the state of CA and active HCA number.
• Completed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508).
• Completed Personnel Record (LIC 501).
• Completed Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected Abuse of Dependent Adults and Elders (SOC 341A).
• Minimum of five hours orientation training prior to presence with client(s).

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care including bathing, shaving, ambulation.
• Support mouth care, dressing, exercising, hair care, feeding, and toileting/incontinence care.
• Assist with medication reminders and meal planning/preparation.
• Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and transportation support as needed.
• Ensure care is delivered in a caring, respectful manner per agency policies.
