Job summary

Senior Helpers of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to assist seniors and individuals in their own homes across multiple communities. Roles include personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship, with flexible scheduling for weekday, weekend, overnight, and on-call shifts.

Starting pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour based on experience, with opportunities for growth, paid training, and benefits for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license with no serious violations.
• Reliable transportation available for assignments.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level.
• Ability to complete required training and skills assessments.
• Ability to complete health screenings.
• Successful completion of criminal background and drug screening prior to employment.
• Proof of First Aid and CPR certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Personal care & client support: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene; eating assistance; mobility support; client transfers; dementia care support.
