Job summary

Senior Helpers of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking an Overnight Home Care Aide/Caregiver to serve clients across West Grand Rapids and surrounding communities. This role offers part-time and full-time weekend and mid-week opportunities with pay ranging from $16–$18/hour based on experience.

You will provide compassionate in-home care, personal support, companionship, and basic mobility assistance, with potential overnight shifts and live-in assignments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license with no serious violations.
• Reliable transportation available during assignments.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level.
• Successful completion of health screenings and required assessments.
• Criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning and preparation; organize household tasks.
• Provide companionship and engagement to support independence and quality of life.
• Assist with transportation and errands using the client’s vehicle.
• Provide medication reminders per company policies.
• Overnight, sleepover, and live‑in assignments when applicable; assist during the night as needed.
