Job summary

A First Name Basis is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our in-home care team in Rayville, LA. This full-time role offers daytime hours, a starting wage of $10.50 per hour, and responsibilities that include personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.

Responsibilities also cover medication reminders, documentation, and ensuring a safe home environment. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, valid ID, reliable transport, and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Candidate must show compassion, patience, and professionalism.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes.
• Willingness to complete background and drug screenings and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support (bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting).
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation; assist with feeding as needed.
• Medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments.
• Monitor changes in client health and report them to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and proper safety equipment use.
• Document care provided according to company standards.
• Travel to patient homes and assigned visits within service area.
• Complete required in-service training on hire and annually.
• Follow written care instructions and document services provided.
