Job summary

Hope's Creek Retirement Living is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team in Van Buren, AR. The role emphasizes one-on-one support, mobility assistance, meal planning, and daily living activities to enhance residents' quality of life.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of healthcare or in-home care experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Night and weekend shifts are available, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Ability to work with elderly or post-surgery clients.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
