Job summary

A First Name Basis is seeking caregivers to provide in-home care across Louisiana. This part-time role offers $10.50 per hour with mileage reimbursement where applicable. You will support seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes, promoting safety, dignity, and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Pass background check, drug screen, and MVR.
• Willingness to complete onboarding and competency assessments.
• Ability to work independently in home settings.
• Compassionate, patient and professional with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Medication reminders and accompany to appointments.
• Monitor health changes and report them.
• Maintain a safe home environment.
• Travel to client homes and transport as needed.
• Complete required in-service training.
• Document care provided and follow instructions.
• Ensure client safety during transport.
