Job summary

Namaste Home Care in Colorado is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to provide nonmedical services to clients in their homes and communities. Caregivers work according to individualized care plans to support clients with daily living activities, safety, and comfort in familiar surroundings.

You will perform tasks from mobility assistance to meal planning, light housekeeping, and companionship, with emphasis on respect, privacy, and client rights.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to provide services according to the client’s care plan.
• Excellent customer service and listening skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate with the client and the office staff.
• Ability to read and write clear English.
• Able to compute basic mathematics.
• Able to pass background checks.
• Able to pass drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents
• Valid vehicle insurance coverage and registration

Responsibilities

• Provide nonmedical home care according to the client’s care plan.
• Assist with ambulation, mobility, and transfers as needed.
• Support bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with meals, diet plans, and meal preparation.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry as required, not more than 20% of time.
• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Escort clients to appointments and run errands.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to supervisor.
• Complete and maintain daily activity records and reports.
• Report incidents promptly and follow agency policies.
