Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide one-on-one care for clients in the Pittsburgh area. This role favors someone who enjoys building meaningful connections and has experience with Dementia clients, with a consistent weekday morning schedule.

The position involves assisting with ADLs, providing companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, errands, and transportation to appointments or events in a home-based setting.

Qualifications

• At least 3–6 months of professional or personal experience in home care, caregiving, or related field.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Negative result on TB Test (2-Step TB or Quantiferon Gold) required.
• Healthcare or caregiving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing/grooming, toileting/incontinence care, bathing, and mobility support.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Offer transportation and accompany clients to appointments, outings, or social events.
• Monitor clients' overall well-being and report any concerns.
• Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times.
