Job summary

Senior Helpers - New Kensington is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide one-on-one care for clients in the Cheswick area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections and prefers a consistent weekday morning schedule with afternoon/evening shifts on weekdays and Saturdays.

The position involves assisting with ADLs, offering companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, transportation, and monitoring well-being.

Qualifications

• At least 3-6 months of professional or personal experience in home care.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Negative results of either a 2-Step TB Test or TB QuantiFERON Gold Blood Test.
• Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance or nursing assistance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing/grooming, toileting/incontinence care, bathing, and mobility support
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
• Offer transportation and accompany clients to appointments, outings, or social events
• Monitor clients' overall well-being and report any concerns
• Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times

Skills
