Job summary

Right at Home is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care to clients in Omaha. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meal preparation, and companionship, helping clients maintain independence in their own homes.

As a caregiver, you will perform light housekeeping, coordinate errands and appointments, and support clients with grooming, medications reminders, and mobility exercises. Flexible scheduling and ongoing training are offered to fit your needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a full employment background check.
• Must have prior caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with transferring and mobility throughout their home.
• Perform housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry and dishes.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support with range of motion exercises and dementia care.
• Provide companionship through activities like reading or music.

Job Tasks (include but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
