Job summary

Right at Home Lexington is hiring CNAs and Personal Care Assistants to support seniors and adults with disabilities in the Lexington community. You will provide personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, and companionship across various shifts.

We offer flexible schedules, weekly pay, and ongoing training; a CNA license or HHA certification is preferred. You will contribute to improving quality of life while benefiting from a supportive team and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and pass a skills test.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Background check required and TB test or assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide transportation to appointments or errands.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
• Offer dementia care and companionship activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

The care you give will be providing personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving (Electric razors only)
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs without assistance
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and pass a skills test
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• Provide a current negative TB test or Assessment
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
