Job summary

ameriCARE Twin Cities North is seeking experienced, compassionate, and dependable caregivers to join our team. Our mission is to provide person-centered care that honors the dignity and humanity of clients and caregivers, and to help people live independently at home with comfort and respect.

In this role, you'll offer companionship, assist with daily activities, prepare meals, and help with light housekeeping while maintaining safety and accurate care records.

Qualifications

• Must be punctual with a dependable work schedule.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Familiarity with memory care techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of care plans and their implementation is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience and empathy.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background checks as mandated by state regulations.
• Must be over 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Provide standby assistance.
• Help prepare meals.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided.
• Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional health to family members or healthcare providers.
