Job summary

Happy to Help Caregiving in West Virginia is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers for non-medical one-to-one care. You will provide companionship, personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and mobility support to clients in their private homes across Marion County and surrounding areas.

We offer competitive hourly pay, paid orientation, weekly and daily pay options, flexible full-time/part-time/PRN shifts, holiday pay, referral bonuses, mileage reimbursement, and monthly prize drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and mobility support.
• Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions.
• Reliable punctuality and a patient, positive demeanor with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Meal preparation according to dietary needs and feeding support if required.
• Light housekeeping like laundry, dishes, and tidying up.
• Provide medication reminders for scheduled doses.
• Mobility assistance and safe transfers; use of mobility equipment as needed.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands.
• Provide respite care for family caregivers.
• Document shift activities and communicate changes in client condition.

What You Will Do

You will help create a safe, positive experience for every client by honoring their dignity and independence. Depending on their specific care plan, your daily duties may include:

• Companionship: Providing meaningful conversation, engagement, and emotional support.
• Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and general hygiene.
• Meal Preparation: Preparing food according to dietary needs and assisting with feeding if required.
• Light Housekeeping: Managing laundry, dishes, trash, and general tidying up.
• Medication Reminders: Prompting clients to take scheduled medications.
• Mobility Assistance: Aiding with safe transfers, repositioning, and using mobility equipment.
• Environment: One-on-one care provided in private residences
• Transportation: Driving the client to medical appointments, errands, and approved outings.
• Respite Care: Giving family caregivers a reliable, well-deserved break.
• Documentation: Logging shift activities and communicating any changes in the client's condition.

Qualifications & Requirements
