Job summary

EPAGA Home Care seeks an Accredited Caregiver to provide non-medical in-home support, companionship, and personal care for clients in Kalispell and surrounding areas.

You will travel to client homes across Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Kalispell, Somers, Lakeside and Bigfork, performing light housekeeping, meal prep, and safety monitoring, while documenting care in a HIPAA-compliant manner.

Qualifications

• Must pass background checks including criminal history.
• Completion of EPAGA Accredited Caregiver training is mandatory.
• Prior training as PCA or CNA may waive training requirements.
• Must possess a working phone number and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social interaction to clients.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation in client homes.
• Assist with daily activities and mobility as needed.
• Monitor health changes and report to supervisor promptly.
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation of services.

Compensation

Pay Range: $17 - $21 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Seeking individuals to assist in Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Kalispell, Somers, Lakeside and Bigfork
• Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, engaging them through conversation, activities, and emotional support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Assist clients with daily activities, including meal preparation, medication reminders, and correspondence.
• Accompany clients on outings, appointments, and community activities, providing mobility assistance as needed.
• Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition to your supervisor promptly.
• Foster effective communication and professional relationships with clients, their families, and your coworkers.
• Uphold the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality in compliance withHIPAA regulations.
• Complete required documentation of services provided and submit payroll information in a timely manner.
• Other responsibilities as needed and/or assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Dependability and a commitment to high moral standards are essential
• Must pass background checks, including criminal history, driving record, and references
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance are required
• Must possess a working phone number
• Completion ofEPAGA Accredited Caregiver training is mandatory; prior training as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) may qualify for a training waiver

Travel Requirements

This position may require travel throughout the year to various client locations, including their homes and community settings. Employees should be prepared to travel in diverse weather conditions and adapt to different environments as needed.

Physical Demands

• Work will occur in client homes, community settings, and vehicles
• Light to moderate physical exertion may be required, including standing, walking, and lifting
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary in certain situations
