Job summary

Seniors Helping Seniors Jackson East is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to support seniors in the Jackson Metro Area. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to make a meaningful difference by helping older adults stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Responsibilities include companionship, light housework, errands, transportation, and daily living reminders.

Qualifications

• You may be a great fit if you genuinely enjoy helping older adults
• Compassionate, patient, respectful and dependable
• Good communication skills and reliability
• Comfortable working independently in a client's home
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance when transport is part of the assignment
• Able to complete background and employment screening

What You'll Do

Depending on the needs of the senior you are matched with, responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship and conversation

• Preparing simple meals

• Light housekeeping and laundry

• Grocery shopping and errands

• Providing transportation to appointments, shopping, church, or activities

• Helping with organization and everyday household tasks

• Providing reminders and assistance with daily routines

• Providing respite and support for family caregivers

• Assisting with personal care when appropriate and properly trained

• Encouraging social interaction, activity, and independence

• Providing dependable, compassionate support and communicating concerns to the office

Most importantly, you will build a relationship with the senior you serve and help make their day better.

Previous caregiving or healthcare experience is helpful, but a caring heart and dependable attitude are extremely important to us.
