Job summary

Coastal Care Partners, LLC is seeking compassionate caregivers to assist with daily living activities for clients in Georgia. The role involves helping with bathing, grooming, mobility, meals, hygiene, and medication reminders, while following care plans and safety protocols.

You will provide companionship, transport to appointments, light housekeeping, and documentation of care. Certification requirements include CNA or PCA testing, CPR and First Aid, and 40-hour skills training.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification and/or passing GACCP PCA Test.
• Complete 40HR Skills Training and CCP evaluation.
• Adult CPR Certification is required.
• Adult First Aid Certification is required.
• Background checks including criminal, driving and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with communication by writing or typing correspondence or researching.
• Ensure service is delivered per policies and practices and client safety.
• Report changes to the Care Manager and document daily care.

Job description

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, shaving, and hair care.
• Assist with ambulation/exercise.
• Assist with dental hygiene.
• Assist with dressing.
• Assist with feeding.
• Assist with toileting.
• Assist with nail care (filing only).
• Assist with medication reminding.
• Assist with other ADLs deemed necessary by the Care Manager.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation, routine housekeeping activities such as making/changing beds, dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, and laundry.
• Provide social support through companionship and social activities (e.g. going for walks, practicing physical therapy regime, playing brain games, emotional reassurance, etc.).
• Accompany and/or transport clients to medical facilities, errands, shopping and outings as specified in the care plan.
• Assist clients with communication by writing or typing correspondence for them or researching.
• Ensure service is delivered in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures and practices.
• Ensure client’s safety and security by supervising the home environment and reporting unsafe conditions to the Care Manager.
• Provide feedback on care plan and report behavioral, physical and/or cognitive changes and/or changes in living arrangements to the Care Manager.
• Complete and maintain required documentation of daily care.

Minimum Requirements

• Must pass a criminal background check as defined by CCP liability insurance.
• Must pass a driving background check as defined by CCP liability insurance.
• Must pass drug screening per CCP liability insurance.
• Must be able to work around clients with pets.
• Holds valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to wear personal protective gear during all shifts.

Certification Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification, and/or must pass GACCP - PCA (Personal Care Assistant) Test.
• Complete 40HR Skills Training and Review, training and evaluation conducted by CCP.
• Adult CPR Certification.
• Adult First Aid Certification.

• Experience working in health care environment.
• Ability to think and work independently and with direction in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively by email, verbally, with lists and phone messages, on the phone, and with body language. Communication also includes listening skills and the ability to follow directions and provide feedback.
