Job summary

Home Instead Edwardsville is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support clients in their own homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. You will be a trusted companion, delivering personalized care and adjusting to each client’s needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, medication reminders, meal prep, mobility, and light housekeeping. Must live within 30 miles of Madison County, IL, 18+, valid driver’s license, and passed background checks. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Able to lift, push, or pull 25 pounds.
• Able to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Own a personal reliable vehicle with auto insurance and driver's license.
• Live within 30 miles of Madison County, IL.
• Able to use basic technology (cell phone apps) to provide reports.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As a Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring clients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.

Duties

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Support with medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health and safety.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Provide patient observation and monitor for any changes in health or behavior, especially for clients with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Help with mobility and transfers using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and engagement.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Support clients during outings or appointments by providing personal transportation assistance.
