Job summary

Right at Home is hiring In Home Care Aides in Artesia, CA with a flexible schedule to assist seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. The role includes personal care, homemaking, and companionship, with paid training and development offered. We provide weekly pay, PTO, and opportunities for career growth within a supportive team.

New grads are welcome. A background check and TB test are required, and drivers with insured vehicles are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must be able to pass a full employment background check.
• Must be able to provide Negative Tuberculosis Test.
• Willing to provide care to both female and male clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance with daily living activities.
• Assist with transportation, meals, housekeeping and errands.
• Administer medication reminders and mobility assistance per nurse guidance.
• Support clients with bathing, grooming and hygiene.
• Assist with range of motion exercises and incontinence care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):

• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
• Transportation
• Feeding
• Prepares meals according to instructions
• Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry

Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home nurse. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care
• Providing showers, bed baths, or sponge baths
• Providing brief changes or assistance with toileting

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
• Must be able to provide Negative Tuberculosis Test
• Be Willing to provide care to both Female and Males
• Be Willing to Provide Personal Care

Nice to Have’s:

• Home Care Aide (HCA) license is preferred
• Possess a valid driver’s license and insured automobile
