Job summary

Southern Arizona Seniors Helping Seniors in Tucson seeks compassionate in-home companions to provide safety, comfort, and companionship for seniors.

You will engage with clients through storytelling, assist with light tasks, and help with transportation when needed; we tailor schedules for stability and require reliability and a valid driver's license. No medical background required, but licenses/certifications are welcome; advancement opportunities exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be physically active and able to handle mild to moderate tasks safely.
• Reliable and consistent attendance is essential for client safety.
• Valid US driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance required.
• Background check and personality evaluation required; healthcare credentials welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage seniors to keep them socially connected.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal prep to support daily independence.
• Provide safe passage and occasional transportation to appointments or errands.
• Offer respite care and specialized companionship for families navigating aging needs.
