Job summary

Right at Home Torrance is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide (HCA) to support seniors in their own homes. You will provide one-on-one care, assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, and light housekeeping, while delivering companionship and respect.

Qualified candidates are registered as a CA DPSS Home Care Aide, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and can lift and move clients safely. Reliable transportation and a current TB test are required.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Home Care Aide by CA DPSS.
• Previous experience in home care or a related field preferred.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move clients with care and safety.
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance to and from client visits.
• Current TB test.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, one-on-one care to seniors and vulnerable adults in their homes
• Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks
• Engage in companionship activities, such as conversation, reading, and watching TV
• Monitor and report any changes in client condition to supervisors
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with other caregivers and healthcare professionals to ensure best possible outcomes for clients
