Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing diets, assisting with grooming and mobility, record-keeping, and reporting any changes to management. Applicants must be 18+, English-literate, and able to lift 30 pounds; training and clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Completed Attendant Care training or have at least 6 months of Attendant Care experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Sufficient English to read orders and write basic reports.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and move during the day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve basic diets.
• Assist with care of teeth and mouth.
• Grooming and skin care.
• Assist with bathing.
• Help change positions in bed.
• Assist client in moving from bed to chair/wheelchair.
• Assist with toileting, eating and dressing.
• Schedule activities per medical recommendations.
• Record client care activities daily.
• Attend in-service programs.
• Perform incidental household tasks essential to health needs.
• DCWs must not administer medications.
